5 YEARS AND BEYOND

At last Laser Adventures got to the point of having a newsletter. It helps to suddenly have a woman in the office! This newsletter was supposed to reach you on the 1st of August 2011. Exactly 5 years after Laser Adventures started. Yes, it was the 5th birthday of Laser Adventures!

Today I would like to reflect on the past 5 years. The journey that brought Laser Adventures to what it is today! The 5 very good, joyful (sometimes very stressful!!) years. I would like to reflect by thanking the people that made it possible and had an influence along the way! I will try and include everyone. If I miss somebody, please know that you are also thanked!

Any company starts with funds. I would like to thank the person that believed in me when the banks did not! Laser Adventures will not have been made possible if it was not for this person that borrowed me the money when I needed it to start this business. THANK YOU!

I would also like to thank the three companies I worked for before I started Laser Adventures. They taught me a lot about business, as well as the industry. Thanks Sarel Steenberg (Namaste Tours & Training), Johan & Andre Boshoff (Adventure Addicts), Kobus Loubser (Outdoor Galore).

I would also like to thank all the staff that was involved over the last 5 years. Thanks to all the freelance facilitators (and friends!) I could count on every once in a while. Thank you also to Pieter for the last 2 years’ working as the “hoofslaaf”. I really appreciate your efforts! Also to our newest member, Marike. Thanks for bringing a women’s touch to the company.

No business will survive without clients and service providers. To all my clients over the last 5 years—thank you for all the business and also some friendships that where created. I really hope we can keep this up for years to come! All the service providers that have served Laser Adventures and helped to create a fun filled event for our clients – Thank You!

Lastly, but not the least. To my wife Monica that supported me and the business through thick and thin. THANK YOU! I love you!

Cheers! On the next 5 years!!!!!

FEATURED BUSINESS: MARIKE PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography chose me. The day I walked into the Tshwane University of Technology’s photography studio, I was hooked. I immediately filled out my application and started my studies in 2005. I obtained my B-tech degree in 2008 and left the university with published works including a music video compiled with stills.

In 2009 I decided that I want to do my own thing, and so Marike Photography was born. Today we specialize in a variety of fields including décor, interiors, architecture, industrial, portraiture and commercial photography. Our functions and wedding photography are one of a kind and we provide all extras from photo-booths to mobile studios and on-site printing. Our clients are given a vast amount of printing options and mediums and we recently started with our framing specialty. We are situated in Centurion but travel all over. Please visit www.marike.co.za for more information.

At Marike Photography we guarantee to take your photographs for the love of photography, with your interest at heart.
